Pianolessons

For the piano lessons the focus point is always on the student. We will work on various goals that the student wants to accomplish with an informal approach. Regardless of level, age or genre we will find a method that suits your learning style and your approach to music. The material that we cover in the lessons is completely up to the student!

Teaching method
For children ages 6 to 9, I use the Hal Leonard method. This method fits very well with my form of teaching, since the focus is on really playing piano and learning songs, and while learning the concepts about posture, technique, articulation and expression emerge. What makes the lessons extra fun is that I play the accompaniment for the student myself, so we really get to make music together!

For other students who are already further along in their musical adventures, I use other methods, including several books by Folk Dean.

My preference is always that we cover pieces and songs that the student would like to learn. After all, in the end, that's what makes lessons the most fun and educational!

Jazz & Pop, or classical?
I am a real Jazz & Pop pianist, and that is my specialty. Of course, I can also teach students a lot about sound, articulation and technique.

Lessons also include technique, improvisation, music theory, sound, articulation and much more!
